Friday Night Fights...

BM came to Daffy's game Friday night. After each game the player's and cheerleader's parents line the track between the field and the field house.

As BM was walking by I called over to her to let her know that the place we were standing was the best place for her to catch Daffy.

(Now I can't recall if I shared with you all or not that BM had back surgery a few weeks ago? If I did, ignore. If I didn't... she did.) She walked over to the track and I asked her how her back was feeling since the surgery. She responded in exactly the way you or I would have. She pulled her shirt up, pushed down the back of her jeans and showed me the incision.

About this time the Kidlet was walking off the field and I looked up just in time to see him watching the whole scene. Pure humor kids. Really.

I'll leave you with this gem, and ask you to note that the kid in black that my Baby jacked up, he's 6'7" 280 pounds. I may have tinkled in my pants watching this and hearing the thud in the bleachers. It's crazy and helpless enough when you Kidlet is sick or hurt, to pay money to see it happen may just never register in my world.

Oh I wouldn't be able to stand watching my child play football....it'd be so nerve wracking!! I don't know how you do it!!!

Nice story about her showing off her incision though....that's pure class I tell ya!! : )

Tulip, Its unreal. I can't even explain it.
Daffy has been playing since he was six, so I guess in some ways I'm used to it. In other ways, I still cringe every time I hear two sets of pads and helmets collide.

I love Mondays - always about a 98.2% chance Minnie will grace us with post...that always makes us smile. Seriously? An incision sighting? Barf.

My SS was 7 when he started playing tackle/full contact football, it is just a hard thing to watch, much worse than horror flicks if you ask me.

At least it wasn't her C-section scar! But I must say you two really have come around the bend!

Everytime my SS is hit or does the hitting - I WILL him to get up. I can't stand it.

Seriously? She had back surgery and put jeans on?

I bet he was glad she showed up. :)

Damn he's tall! Can you send him over to my house to reach this huge bowl on the top shelf for me? My fiance apparently felt that my whole 5'1" could access that without the need of a step stool or chair.
